Thinking about clear aligners? Start here.
New to all of this? This is the one article to read first - a calm, complete overview of how NextGen Alygn works, what to expect, and how to take the first step with zero commitment.
Maybe you’ve been thinking about straightening your teeth for a while. Maybe you’ve put it off because it felt complicated, expensive or like something for later. This guide walks you through how clear aligners work with NextGen Alygn - simply, honestly and without pressure.
What clear aligners are
Clear aligners are a series of thin, transparent trays made for your teeth. Each set moves your teeth a small, planned step. You switch to the next set as treatment progresses, until your teeth reach the position mapped out in your plan.

What everyday life looks like
Aligners work when you wear them - around 20 to 20–22 hours a day. You take them out to eat and drink anything other than water, then brush and put them back in. Most people adjust within the first days, and the routine quickly becomes second nature.
Is it right for you?
Clear aligners aren’t right for everyone. Suitability is always confirmed by a dentist or orthodontist after a clinical assessment - so you’ll know where you stand before you commit to anything.
This article is general information, not medical advice. Your partner dentist will talk you through your own options.
Your first step
You don’t need to have everything figured out. Start with your free smile assessment, ask your questions, and decide when you’re ready. Confidence isn’t something you wait for. It’s something you build.
